Kentucky consistently ranks as having an attractive environment for business.  Kentucky was ranked 5th (tied) among the states in the annual Site Selection Competitiveness Award. The Competitiveness Award is based on 10 quantifiable criteria for measuring business expansion activity.

Additionally, Northwest Kentucky continues to be attractive for business investment.  Recent announcements include a $50 million reinvestment at the nearby Rio Tinto Alcan aluminum smelter and the location of Innovative Workflow Technologies headquarters and software development center.  These investments are testament to the attractive business climate in Northwest Kentucky and in its heart, 4-Star Industrial Park.
