Forging a strong foundation in aluminum and metals production

The 4 Star Industrial Park provides an excellent setting for companies in the metals and die casting business, which explains northwest Kentucky is already home to industry leaders like Gibbs Die Casting, Century Aluminum Sebree, Vibracoustic, Audubon Metals, Service Tool & Die, Sonoco, Hydro Aluminum, Accuride, Dana, Audubon Metals, and Hansens Aluminum.

With the infrastructure to support those businesses already in place, along with a strong supply chain and an easily accessible market of manufacturers in fields like automotive components, farm equipment, and construction machinery, the opportunities are limitless.

The 4 Star Industrial Park is easily accessible by road, rail, river, and air. By road, we’re just five minutes from Interstate 69, for fast access to Detroit, Indianapolis, Memphis, and the Gulf Coast. It’s served by a CSX rail spur, and there are plenty of air options for both corporate planes and air cargo, with the UPS Worldport® in Louisville just over two hours away (and the FedEx Superhub in Memphis within a half-day’s drive). River shipping is also readily available.

Within 75 miles of the Park, you’ll find more than half a million workers. To keep that labor force strong and skilled, the business community works closely with K-12 and postsecondary education leaders, ensuring that students receive the training they need in fields such as welding and industrial maintenance technology. Henderson Community College and the Northwest Kentucky Training Consortium offer career-focused programs to train new workers and enhance the skills of those already in the labor force. Both also provide customized training to fit the needs of employers.

Local electric rates are much more affordable than those in surrounding regions and across the state line, and the Park’s utility infrastructure is already in place. Electric power is abundant and reliable, with two substations to reduce the potential and impact of downtime. The Park has two million-gallon water towers, with a nearly limitless supply of raw water available from the nearby Ohio River. There’s also plenty of natural gas, and every site in the Park has earned the AT&T Fiber Ready designation.
